Explore LocallyCloud
LocallyCloud brand image for its local AWS service emulator on Linux.

Test your architecture before taking it to the cloud.

LocallyCloud brings emulated AWS services together at a local endpoint to develop and test flows between services. It runs natively on Linux and retains local state, without depending on a Docker daemon.

A local environment with the tools you already know.

  • Connected services

Test flows with storage, functions, events and databases. The catalog documents registered services; operation coverage varies by service.

  • AWS CLI and SDKs

Point your tools at a local endpoint using a test profile. Compatibility is reviewed per operation and workflow.

  • Native Linux execution

Built in Rust for Linux, with instructions for Arch, Debian, Ubuntu and WSL 2. On other systems, it can run inside a Linux virtual machine.

  • Open source

An Apache 2.0 project with installation documentation and usage examples. The website describes the beta requirements and limits.

Status

Beta with a public website.

The LocallyCloud website is published with documentation and a service catalog. The emulator remains in beta: compatibility needs validation for each project’s operations, and package distribution depends on published releases.
